What a fabulous find after kayaking the ichatucknee!!! Our waitress DeAnne made the experience even better!! She jumped right in on our jokes and made great lunch suggestions!! The food was awesome!! The grits(which not everyone knows how to make) were seasoned to perfection!! The beer was cold and the mixed drinks great!! What an awesome find!!
We enjoyed a nice dinner here after kayaking the Itchtucknee Springs and the Santa Fe River. The food was delicious, enjoyed the salad bar, everything on the salad bar was fresh and delicious. The service was good, we did have to wait a little bit before our waitress came over, we grabbed our own menus while we waited. Once we were noticed service was better. The atmosphere is cozy and clean. Nice casual place to eat after a long day on the river. This location is our favorite place to put our boat. Easy loading and unloading. We will definitely be back to try more delicious food. There is a bar here as well. They don't serve hard liquor though.
My family and I ate for the first time at Sandy point this weekend and it was delicious!! We ordered the prime rib and it was perfect. The salad bar was very clean and our service was exceptional. It was relaxing atmosphere by the beautiful Sante River as well. I would highly recommend this restaurant!!
So rare to find dining on the water. Beautiful Sante Fe River views. Campground with old Florida motel rooms on the grounds. Boat ramps add to the ambience and utility of this place. Lots of fried appetizer options.
We’ve eaten there twice now. Salad bar is full and fresh. Our food comes within a timely manner. Food has been delicious both times. Service has been great both times. The restaurant and restrooms are clean. The only down fall is the wait for our check is longer than the wait for our food. Otherwise no issues and we will be back again very soon. The grouper is awesome!
Cannot say enough good things about this hidden gem! The atmosphere is so warm and welcoming. The waitresses are so nice & the food is so good! The prime rib, the crab legs, the cheeseburgers, and the chicken wings are our go to’s, but we have honestly never had anything we didn’t enjoy. And the salad bar? Holy moly! It’s pure perfection. Everything is always so fresh. Everyone definitely needs to stop in and give them a try. You will not be disappointed!
I love finding diamonds in the rough. This place was worth every penny. My friend wanted to go camping for her birthday and we ended up here for her birthday dinner. Everything was absolutely delicious. Our server Dee was prompt with service the whole visit. My daughter ordered the chicken tender meal, and I ordered the fish finger meal as pictured. We also had a few appetizers that were not pictured. If you are in the area, you should definitely try this place. You won't regret it.
Sandy Point Restaurant is a hidden gem, offering a dining experience that pairs great food with incredible views of the Santa Fe River. If you’re a steak lover, their perfectly cooked steaks are a must-try, juicy and tender with rich flavor. For those visiting on a Friday night, the prime rib special is the star of the show—succulent, savory, and cooked to perfection. Seafood lovers will also be pleased with their shrimp, served alongside creamy, comforting grits and crispy hush puppies. The ambiance is laid-back yet inviting, and the panoramic views of the Santa Fe River elevate the dining experience to a whole new level.
